The Race

This was one of my freestyle drawings. My friend wanted to send a caricature to her boyfriend in America. She gave me his photo and told me to draw something wacky. She told me he lives in Texas and loves to race on horseback.
I thought it would be funny for them to race with two notoriously slow animals, the snail and turtle. I even added the referee at the finish line that is measuring time with a calendar instead of a stopwatch.
After a few years I have traced the original drawing into a digital illustration, and now it looks like this.
